College:Northern Lights College
The Northern Lights College authoritatively opened in September 1975. In the earliest reference point, it was a professional school known as the BC Vocational School-Dawson Creek. It was essentially serving the Peace River Region. The educational plan for this school was separated into two sections: pre-apprenticeship and pre-work. In May 1975, a Northeastern Community College was made. The school had held a 'Name the College' challenge. From every one of the names that were submitted, 'Aurora Borealis College' was chosen and that is the manner by which the school had at last gotten its name. It is partnered to BCC and ACCC.
