Bit by bit, new offices were acquired at the Invermere grounds in March 1988, and the Fernie grounds in October 1989. East Kootenay Community school had changed its name to the College of the Rockies in 1995. In March 2000, the Canadian Heraldic Authority had enlisted the Arms of the College of the Rockies. On 29th October 2010, the Knowledge Infrastructure Program Project was opened at the fundamental grounds of Cranbrook. The bureaucratic/commonplace government had burned through $12.7 million on the undertaking.

    In 1971, College of the Rockies was begun by an individual from the neighborhood educational committee and hard rock excavator James Patterson.
